Liverpool’s start to the season has been an excellent one, with the Reds remaining unbeaten during the opening months of their latest Premier League campaign.
A summer of recruitment in the right areas would appear to be paying off for manager Jurgen Klopp, with the likes of Naby Keita and goalkeeper Alisson slotting into life at Anfield with relative ease.
Results have been excellent, and for the first time since Luis Suarez was at the club, it looks like Liverpool have a genuine chance of challenging for the title and finally bringing the coveted trophy to Anfield for the first time.
The international break might have come at a good time for the Reds too, with players likely needing a bit of a rest as their high pressing and energetic style takes their toll on certain individuals.
Like any club though, there are always things which can be worked on or improved, and it’s no different with Liverpool.
With that in mind, here’s TWO issues Liverpool could look to address during the international break…
Daniel Sturridge conundrum
While Roberto Firmino remains firmly the main man at Liverpool in terms of being a number 9, the return to fitness and some sort of form of Daniel Sturridge represents a new issue for the Reds.
The England man is a talented striker, more than capable of hitting the net regularly in the Premier League, and it’s important that Jurgen Klopp utilises him properly.
If he can keep notching the goals, he could well push Firmino out of the picture, while if he is not given a chance, he might well look to force a move. It’s certainly quite the problem for the Reds.
Getting the best out of Keita
While the big money summer signing has settled in well, he has been in and out of the team of late owing to the form of others.
However, in order for the Reds to achieve success this year, it’s clear they need Keita to perform at a high standard on a regular basis.
There is a massive talent there with Keita, and he really needs to start exerting himself on the first team in order to drive Liverpool’s season forward.
