Man Utd's season so far has generated some real headlines. The Red Devils have been up and down like a yo-yo, and it's fair to say that the pressure is on Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese hasn't been up to par this term, that much is clear, and it's evident that the real hard work lies ahead.

That said, not all of the blame can rest on the shoulders of the manager. Indeed, there are also a handful of players that, so far, just haven't been good enough.

January is now on the horizon, and so it's coming to the time of the year in which players need to step up or step off.

With that said, these 2 Man Utd men will surely be axed in January unless they improve - agreed?

Matteo Darmian

Matteo Darmian is a player that has never really found his role at Man Utd.

Brought in to ideally be Man Utd's main man on the right, he's really struggled to make an impact. Under Jose Mourinho, his career has taken a turn for the worse, and it's tough to see him breaking into the team on a regular basis.

With Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot ahead of him, not to mention Ashley Young, it's fair to say that unless Darmian does something incredible, he's going to find it tough.

Eric Bailly

Eric Bailly is a talented player, make no mistake.

When he first moved to Man Utd, the Ivorian was a real rock at the back, and Joes Mourinho seemed to really rate him.

However, since that point, it's all gone downhill for him. The defender has lacked the defensive stability that a Mourinho side requires, and inconsistency has been a real issue for him.

With injuries also proving to be problematic, too, it's going to be tough for him.

It seems more likely that the Red Devils will bring someone new in rather than give him a chance.
