2 players who could follow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Liverpool in January

Liverpool supporters have been making a lot of noise in the Transfer Tavern recently after seeing their side thump Brighton 5-1 at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday, in turn extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight matches, while at the same time moving up to fourth in the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their clash with the Seagulls off the back of easing past Stoke City 3-0 at the bet365 Stadium in midweek, and they again produced an attacking masterclass to swat aside the South Coast outfit on Saturday. First half goals from Emre Can and Roberto Firmino set them on their way, and further strikes after the break from Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, as well as an own goal from Lewis Dunk, sealed a comprehensive victory for the Merseyside giants, who moved back into the Premier League’s top four at the expense of Arsenal, who lost to Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Consequently, there have been many thrilled Liverpudlians in the Tavern this week, many of whom are eagerly anticipating their side’s clash with Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with the Reds knowing that a point will secure their place in the knockout stages.

In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident Reds fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports linking them with a move for Borussia Dortmund striking ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 28-year-old has proven to be one of Europe’s best forwards in recent years with a staggering 137 goals in 208 games for the German side, 17 of which have come in just 19 appearances this season.

Yet his future at the Bundesliga outfit is far from certain, and as such former Dortmund boss Klopp is reportedly seeking a reunion with the Gabon international at Liverpool.

And were Aubameyang to indeed make the move to Anfield, here are TWO other stars who could follow him to Merseyside…
