West Ham supporters were relatively buoyant in the Transfer Tavern over the weekend after seeing their side draw 1-1 against high-flying Burnley at Turf Moor, a match in which the Hammers were forced to play over an hour with just ten men.
Slaven Bilic’s men went into their clash with the Lancashire-based club on Saturday off the back of a 1-0 success over Swansea City just prior to the international break, and they looked set to make it back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since January when winger Michail Antonio gave them a 19th minute lead at Turf Moor. However, Andy Carroll’s red card eight minutes later made things much tougher for the visitors, who did indeed succumb to Burnley’s pressure when Chris Wood headed home five minutes from time to secure a point for Sean Dyche’s men.
That draw leaves West Ham 15th in the Premier League and just three points clear of the bottom three, and there may be more frustrating news to come for our resident Hammers fans if a recent report from The Daily Mirror is anything to go by.
The 18-year-old is currently on loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach but has yet to appear for the Bundesliga outfit at all this season, this all after a relatively disappointing spell at Reading in the second half of last season.
And reports suggest that he may not have much of a future at West Ham either, and as such here are TWO players who could follow the versatile ace out of the London Stadium in January…
