Manchester City supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern in the last few days after seeing their side keep their quadruple hopes alive by easing past Burnley 4-1 in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s men are streets ahead in the race for the Premier League title while they also breezed through their Champions League group, alongside a run to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup where they face Championship side Bristol City in the first leg this week. And although Guardiola continues to play down talk of the quadruple, it remains firmly on after his team came from behind to beat Sean Dyche’s Clarets on Saturday, with a brace from Sergio Aguero as well as strikes from Leroy Sane and Bernando Silva booking their spot in the fourth round.
Subsequently, there have been many buoyant Citizens fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are getting excited about what their side could go on to achieve this season, both domestically and on the European stage.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident City fans to discuss in the last few days, not least recent reports linking them with a move for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
The 24-year-old only made the move to the King Power Stadium during the summer but has hit the ground running in the East Midlands, starting all 22 of their Premier League games so far, and impressing in the heart of Claude Puel’s backline.
