Arsenal have gotten themselves into some fine form under new manager Unai Emery, and look to be on course to have an element of success this term.
Following Arsene Wenger’s resignation, many expected a tough few years for the Gunners, but Emery looks to have made a big impression, and there is already high hopes of the former PSG manager bringing trophies and success to the Emirates.
The Premier League title is something which has eluded the club for far too long, and despite looking unlikely at the start of the season, there is at least some hope that the Gunners can challenge for the title this season and dethrone current holders Man City.
With that thought in our minds here at the Transfer Tavern, we take a look at TWO things Arsenal can to ensure they topple City at the top of the Premier League table…
The Aubameyang and Lacazette effect
Something which looked unlikely at the start of the campaign, but the inclusion by Emery of both his star forward has been refreshing for the Gunners.
Both are getting amongst the goals and both look a huge threat in the final third.
If Arsenal are to enjoy any success, then ensuring both Aubameyang and Lacazette remain fit and firing will be crucial.
Add to the squad in January
If Arsenal want to maintain any sort of challenge, then they must ensure they keep spending and adding star power to the squad.
Too often in recent years we have seen the Gunners fall short in the transfer market and take a conservative approach. With a squad so close to being a brilliant one which can compete on all fronts, signing even more quality will prove crucial for Emery and his board.
