Chelsea’s form under new manager Mauro Sarri has been excellent thus far, and there’s firm reason to believe that the Blues could well challenge for the title come May.
The Blues have put in some tremendous displays thus far, and despite a poor campaign last time out, things are certainly looking brighter for the Londoners as the seek to win a sixth Premier League title.
However, with current holders Manchester City already looking dominant, Chelsea and Sarri are going to have to ensure that certain things are done in order to maintain the challenge and at least give themselves a chance of toppling Pep Guardiola’s exciting City outfit.
With that thought in mind, we at the Transfer Tavern have looked at TWO ways Chelsea can ensure they dispatch Man City to win the Premier League title…
Keep hold of Eden Hazard
The impressive Belgian has been in sublime form for the Blues this season already, and keeping hold of their star man past the January window will be crucial.
Hazard is in arguably the form of his career, and if he continues with his displays at the level he is showing, there is no reason why he can’t guide Sarri’s men to glory once again.
Get both Giroud and Morata amongst the goals
While the form of Hazard remains impressive, it can be argued that the Blues’ central strikers are not quite offering enough.
For any team to win a title, they need a focal point who gets goals regularly, and with Chelsea having both Morata and Giroud to call upon, they could do with both getting in and around the 20 goal mark.
If Chelsea are to have any success, these two hitting the net regularly will be crucial.
