Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern has been incredibly impressed with how well West Bromwich Albion have done this season.

They are well and truly in contention for Europa League football, if they can keep up their superb run of form.

The Midlands side have had some really stand out players, the likes of Ben Foster and Matty Phillips spring to mind, however they've also got a lot of deadwood.

They will need to offload some players, even more so if they are in the Europa League, as they will be in need of bringing in some first-team quality players to push their current starting eleven.

The players that are likely to leave will be no skin off the back of the Baggies faithful, and it's likely they'll be happy to see the back of them.

With that in mind, these are the TWO West Bromwich Albion players that fans surely cannot wait to see axed in the summer.....

JONAS OLSSON

He has been around the place for some time but he's just not been at the races as much as he should of been this season.

With injuries and poor performances, he's found his time on the pitch very much limited to the bare minimum and only when really needed.

Defence is a position that the Baggies need to be looking at in the summer.

It's not due to poor performances because they've been one of the best, but to try and bring in some younger defenders for the long-term future of the club, and in particular the fast pace of Europa League football.

BOAZ MYHILL

Every club needs a solid back-up goalkeeper, that when you find yourself in need you can still rely on them.

However, that's not really been the case with Myhill this season.

He's featured in two poor cup runs for the Baggies and with Foster not getting any younger, perhaps they could opt to bring in a young replacement, with one eye on the future of the club.

This would be a move the fans would surely get behind and be delighted with.
