The Mirror are reporting that the two Italian giants, Inter and AC Milan, are setting out to battle over Mario Balotelli in the forthcoming transfer window for a fee of £20 million.
The controversial footballer has attracted media attention for his off-field antics, ranging from sex stories, explosives in his bathroom and flying to his old club for a press conference. There is no doubt that Mario Balotelli keeps the footballing world on their toes as they beckon the question, “what will he do next?”
Well, Roberto Mancini has ruled out what he will not be doing – playing for the rest of the season. The Italian said “I’m finished. We have six games left and he will not play.” This came after Balotelli got sent off for the third time this season after he received two bookings against Arsenal, where Manchester City’s title winning hopes shattered as they lost 1-0.
The Manchester City striker has netted 13 goals in 14 games which shows how he is clearly capable of scoring. At the young age of 21, and scoring in almost every Premier League game he has played during the 2011/12 campaign, it is clear as to why Mancini has finally called for the club to sell the striker.
After Balotelli appeared at the Inter Milan press conference when Andrea Stramaccioni was unveiled as the new manager, questions were asked about his loyalty to Manchester City and why he spent the time travelling to Italy instead of remaining focussed on City’s title hopes. However, there is no surpise to see that Inter Milan are favourites to sign the 21 year old at the end of the season and bring Balotelli back to the club which he left 2 years ago.
Will Balotelli move to Inter Milan or will he stay? Leave your thoughts below.
