£20M Transfer Deal CANNOT Hinge Upon Player + Cash Deals: Pay Up Arsene!

January can be a hazardous month for some people and Arsene Wenger will be hoping that he can avoid any mishaps especially in the slippery transfer window where literally anything can happen.

Wenger is keen to acquire the services of Lille’s highly rated Eden Hazard, 6 months after failing to sign him during the last window. Hazard is hot property in Europe and is sure to attract the attention of several other big clubs but Wenger is prepared to offer the Ligue 1 champions a nice tidy package in order to seal the deal. Marouane Chamahk and Sebastian Squillaci could be offered alongside a hefty sum of cash to convince Lille to sell their attacking midfielder. Chamahk has failed to live up to expectation in the Premiership and although feels quite happy being in England, the Moroccan International would love to return to the French league where he was at his most prolific.

Squillaci too has now become surplus to requirements at the Emirates following the arrival of Per Mertesacker and he too would prefer a return to France where he would like to see out his career.

Wenger knows all too well that Hazard’s presence is key to hardening up his midfield and the Belgian International can also score goals and assist where necessary, an added bonus for Wenger who could do with someone knowing where the goal is from time to time. His current form is above average grabbing four goals and three assists in nine matches and he knows how to put in a tackle or two to make his point.

Arsenal fans will be more than happy with this purchase as Wenger will be showing Europe he is still on his game and prepared to pay good money for outstanding players. The deal would certainly send alarm bells ringing in the Premiership and given their current rich vein of form, those who wrote the Gunners off at the start of the season may just be about to rethink. Arsenals title rivals will have to swallow hard for a big Hazard may just be about to get in their way.
