Everton's squad is already looking like a strong one for this season, as new manager Marco Silva looks to turn the Toffees back into European contenders.

A string of fine additions in the summer, including Brazilian flyer Richarlison, has given Silva a squad to work with which should and could well challenge for the top six in the Premier League.

Despite the strength in the squad, there is still some issues though, and the Toffees currently sit in the lower half of the table, with only three wins to show from their opening eight encounters.

The January window could well represent another chance for Silva to go out and strengthen the ranks, and one player we at the Tavern think would be a superb signing is Sevilla winger Quincy Promes.

Despite only moving to Spain in the summer, the £21.6m-rated Dutch winger is a player a club like Everton should be keeping an eye on going forward.

Promes is a player who is full of talent and promise, and 15 goals last season further underlines his talent before Sevilla swooped to attain his services.

Searing pace, good in front of goal, and capable of producing when his team need it most, Promes would be a superb addition to the Premier League and would add another element to a team like Everton.

Everton fans, what do you think? Good signing eventually? Let us know in the comments!
