The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been sweating on the fitness of on-loan ace Tammy Abraham for the last few days…
The English forward has been on fire whilst on loan with Bristol City, picking up 21 goals already this season, but has recently suffered a pretty significant blow.
He was forced off with an injury recently, with the forward himself reportedly concerned that the problem could have been serious – with a few of the cynical Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern worried that his season might be over.
The true extent of Abraham’s injury has been now been revealed by Bristol City boss Lee Johnson, though, and the news is bittersweet.
“He’ll be out for two or three weeks”, revealed Johnson.
Whilst on the plus side Abraham’s season is far from over, the fact that the Championship outfit are to miss the forward for up to 3 weeks is a big blow.
Interestingly, Johnson also noted that Abraham has returned to Chelsea for the early stages of his treatment, with Blues medical staff seemingly better equipped to deal with his injury problem.
This is perhaps a signal that the Blues have high hopes for Abraham, with the Chelsea staff actively going out of their way to ensure the swift return of the on-loan star.
The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Abraham is raring to go ahead of schedule, as they are desperate to see him make an impact and return to Stamford Bridge next season.
