21-year-old reportedly ready to hold Mourinho talks as potential Man Utd exit looms

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern still have high hopes for Anthony Martial…

Last season was a disappointing one for the Frenchman, failing to live up the expectations built following a stellar debut year in England. Indeed, with dominant attacking players like Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming to the foreground, Martial was lost in the shuffle.

In truth, it was clear from minute one that Jose Mourinho had reservations about him, and those were only made more clear when he failed to deliver in a red shirt.

Now, it seems as though Martial may well have kicked his last ball for the club, with The Gambling Times reporting that he is ready to tell Jose Mourinho that he wants to leave the Red Devils this summer. According to The Gambling Times, Martial is open to a move away from the club – with the likes of PSG keen – and could even look to seek an exit this summer.

In truth, a departure could well make sense, as Martial’s talent clearly isn’t being utilised very well at Old Trafford. Though it is now easy to forget, he is the recipient of the coveted Golden Boy award, which is a testament to his talents.

Still, at 21-years-old, there is more than enough time for him to reach his potential, though our landlord isn’t convinced that staying at Man Utd will be best for business.
