£22.5m-rated African wing wizard would make Tottenham one of the best teams in Europe

Tottenham Hotspur ran riot over Everton on Saturday afternoon, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men handing out a 4-0 spanking to their visitors from the North West.

With the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung Min and Christian Eriksen in top form, it appears that the North London side will challenge for a place in the top four again this season, and fans here in The Transfer Tavern are very optimistic about their side’s chances in the Champions League next month against Juventus. Despite their good form, Spurs fans told our landlord that they remain keen to see another new face brought in this month to freshen up the side, with an all out winger high on their list. Spurs don’t particularly have many options that classify themselves as a winger, with the likes of Son and Erik Lamela floating inside on a regular basis. With that being the case, fans are desperate to see Wilfried Zaha brought to Wembley Stadium.

The £22.5m-rated (via Transfermarkt) pacy winger has been sensational for Crystal Palace this season despite their struggles towards the foot of the table, and has form has been the catalyst that has dragged the Eagles five points clear of the drop. Zaha’s quick feet and unpredictability are arguably unmatched in the Premier League, with the lightning speed in which the player shifts the ball a joy to behold.

The 25-year-old’s only downfall is a lack of consistency, an issue he has addressed this season through his excellent displays at Palace, although just four goals and one assist may concern Pochettino when considering an offer. However in a better side with better players, Zaha would surely thrive, and those figures could easily increase by five-fold in this talented Spurs side. If Spurs swoop, they could be pretty much guaranteed a place in the top four.

Already one of the best in Europe, as evident through their Champions League run, Zaha would be a huge addition.
