The Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate for news of more incomings at Anfield after things went quiet in the wake of Mohamed Salah’s arrival from Roma.
While the Reds have added quality and kept hold of all their key men so far, the resident Koppites in the bar are hungry for more from manager Jurgen Klopp this summer.
And it would seem that the popular German boss is doing all he can to bring another key target to the red half of Merseyside this summer, but is facing stern opposition.
According to reports from Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita wants to make the move to Liverpool this summer.
Solhekol also claims that the Reds have offered up a sizeable fee, £66m in fact, but the Bundesliga side are holding firm and claim the midfielder is not for sale.
Our landlord has been telling punters that, how he sees it, the only thing left to do now is hope that the £22.95m-rated midfielder kicks up enough of a fuss that the powers that be in Germany are left with little choice but to sanction a move.
Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! Do you think Keita and Klopp will get their way in the end? Let us know below…
