Chelsea are in limbo with regards to their summer transfer plans, with the club looking to overturn a transfer ban placed on the club this year.

The Blues will have plans in place should that ban be overturned, but at the moment things are not looking too well for the club as they seek to improve the squad in the coming weeks and months ahead of what will be an interesting campaign next term.

However, this weekend has not stopped Chelsea from being linked with certain players, with Ajax winger David Neres being the latest player to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

And if Chelsea can indeed get their ban overturned and make a move on Neres, then he would surely be a suitable replacement of sorts for Eden Hazard, who seems destined to land in Madrid after year long speculation about his future at the club.

Neres has been an integral part of the success Ajax have had this season, firing in eleven goals and contributing ten assists to the cause for the Dutch side.

There is plenty to his game too in terms of his overall contribution and impact on the first XI, with his pace, trickery and eye catching dribbling ability something which marks him out above many of his teammates over in Holland.

Neres has been integral for Ajax, and with an ageing Willian and the outgoing Hazard leaving places in the Chelsea squad open to be taken, he could well relish the chance to make the move to the English game and light up the Premier League much like he has done the Eredivisie.
