The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to land a few big names this summer…
Last season was a big success for the Reds, and so the fans in the pub are expecting even more next year. For their expectations to be met, though, it is clear that Liverpool need to improve their squad.
In many ways, Jurgen Klopp overachieved last season, but with the Champions League returning to Anfield next year, his side will be expected to repeat that feat and get even better.
As a result, a few new players will be expected to move to the club this summer, and according to Foot 224 correspondent Amadou Makadji on Twitter, they have received a boost in that regard. According to Makadji, midfielder Naby Keita has held a meeting about his future at current club RB Leipzig during which he restated his desire to leave the club and move to Liverpool this summer.

Of course, Keita has been linked with a move to Anfield over the last few weeks, with Jurgen Klopp clearly impressed with his tenacity in the middle of the park.
He was a crucial part of the RB Leipzig midfield in a side that really overachieved in the Bundesliga last year. A consistent runner, a fantastic tackler and a box-to-box type player, Keita is one of Europe’s best young midfielders.
For the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, they want nothing more than to see him join.
