23-year-old Chelsea man reportedly receiving interest from abroad as uncertain summer looms

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting big things from Michy Batshuayi next season…

The Belgian has been on a rich run of form in recent weeks, picking up a couple of goals for the Blues and recently also scoring for the Belgian national team. Having finally been given a chance, it seems as though Batshuayi is really proving his worth.

However, it seems as though if one club get their wish, the Belgian won’t be playing for the Blues next season. According to Don Balon, Sevilla are considering making a move for him this summer, given his lack of game time, with the Spanish outfit keen to improve their attack this summer. Interestingly, it is noted that they had a move rejected for him in January, though it remains to be seen if they will receive the same response this summer.

In truth, the fans in the Transfer Tavern are divided on this. On one hand, his fine form has made many fans very excited, whilst other supporters think that a year of regular football away from Stamford Bridge may be best for his 23-year-old’s development. Batshuayi’s future is far from assured, that seems clear.

With Chelsea linked with a move for Romelu Lukaku this summer, Batshuayi could find his game time even more limited next season – and so our landlord thinks that the Blues should definitely consider the move if Sevilla make an approach.
