The Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are waiting on manager Jurgen Klopp to add some further top signings to their squad as the German prepares to take the Reds back into the Champions League this season.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss has already added former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah from Roma, whilst also bringing in Dominic Solanke after the youngster ran down his contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, there is plenty more still to do if the Merseysiders are going to continue their progression under Klopp’s guise – specifically at left-back.
Midfielder James Milner filled in as a full-back for the majority of last season after Alberto Moreno failed to impress in the early stages, meaning a new man must be brought in.
However, it doesn’t look as if that man will be Nice’s Dalbert Henrique, after the Brazilian confirmed the club’s interest before dismissing it almost in the same breath.
“We had a fantastic season and it was only natural that proposals arrived,” Dalbert told The Express.
“My agent was contacted by over 10 European clubs, including Liverpool and Inter [Milan], who progressed in their desire to have me in the squad.
“Inter made a proposal that I find to be irresistible and I think over the next few days we can have a happy outcome for everyone.”
Despite being snubbed by the Nice man, the Reds are also reportedly in talks with relegated Hull City over a deal for their left-back Andrew Robertson.
Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! Who would you have rather seen at Anfield in the new season? Dalbert or Roberston? Let us know…
