26-year-old international midfielder could be the final piece in the jigsaw for Manchester United this summer

Manchester United continue to try and chase success this season as they try to play catch up with Manchester City and win one of the big cups on offer to them.

This weekend saw them comfortably progress into the last 16 of the FA Cup with a win over Yeovil Town on Friday night, and they will be confident of going all the way and landing another trophy for manager Jose Mourinho.

Here in the Tavern, the United fans have been having a few beers this week in celebration of landing Alexis Sanchez from rivals Arsenal, but our landlord still thinks the club could do with adding one or two more players of real quality if they are to really get to City’s level.

One such player who fits the mould and has been impressing massively for the last few seasons in a row now is Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke, who has been in superb form for club and country on a consistent basis now.

The 26-year-old is a classy midfield operator in the middle of the park and has been the driving force behind any success Los Rojos Blancos have enjoyed under Diego Simeone in the last few years.

Capable on the ball and and also someone who isn’t afraid to dig deep and put his foot in where it hurts, Koke could complement the likes of Paul Pogba at Man United to devastating effect.

Should United really want to cause a splash in the market and add some real quality to the ranks, then Koke could be just the man they need.

United fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
