29-year-old refuses to rule out Man Utd transfer

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been expecting Marouane Fellaini to depart for a few years…

Never a regular since moving from Everton, the Belgian has had to settle for a bit-part role so far – which has left many in the Transfer Tavern questioning whether a departure would make sense.

After all, with Mourinho moving towards a passing based system, Fellaini’s aerial superiority is becoming less significant – reducing his game time even further.

As of yet, though, Fellaini has remained a part, albeit in a small role, of Man Utd’s squad – though it seems as though his future is far from assured.

Speaking to Sport Foot Magazine, Fellaini opened up on the prospect of his international career, before noting: ” If I go to China, it’s over for me the national team”.

This is interesting from an international perspective, of course, but it also seems to hint that Fellaini is not ruling out a Chinese switch. The Belgian is, seemingly, open to a big-money move to the Far East, and it seems as though he is even willing to give up his international career in order to achieve it.

This is significant, as it appears as though there is genuine interest from China – with the Man Utd reportedly midfielder the target of Chinese sides in recent months.

Fellaini has enjoyed an up-and-down run in the Man Utd team this season, having made 10 starts and 10 appearances from the bench so far.
