3-5-2: If Mourinho picks this XI, Man Utd can beat Real Madrid in the Super Cup

According to the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, this summer couldn’t have been any better so far…

Jose Mourinho’s first season at Man Utd was a stellar one, with victory in the Europa League a clear highlight for the Red Devils.

With that victory comes the return of Champions League football next season, with Mourinho taking his side back into Europe at the first time of asking.

However, a return to Europe is not the only reward for winning the Europa League. The victory also gave Man Utd entrance to the UEFA Super Cup, with the Red Devils set to take on the Champions League winners Real Madrid on Tuesday to contest the competition.

In a battle of Europe’s two major competition winners, only one side can come out on top, and whilst Real Madrid will likely go into the game as favourites, there is no reason why the Red Devils can’t pick up a surprise win.

Mourinho has been testing the waters with a few new formations lately, so he could look to utilise a formation with three defenders at the back.

With that said, if Mourinho picks this XI, Man Utd can smash Real Madrid in the Super Cup…
