Eden Hazard is top of many clubs list for key purhcasing when the transfer window finally opens again in the Summer. The Mirror are reporting that Hazard has narrowed it down to North London, yet he does not know which one to choose!
With so many opporutnites being available for the Belgian international, including offers from Manchester United being likely, he will have to make some tough decisions in the next few months.
Here are 3 reasons why Eden Hazard might move to Arsenal ahead of their North London rivals Spurs:
The Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is French and therefore it would allow the two to communicate efficiently. Although Hazard is from Belgium, he has lived in France for many years whilst training and therefore knows the language. As there would be no communication barrier between the two, it would allow Wenger to instruct Hazard a lot more easily and would help him to fulfill his potential.
But what about Spurs? Well, the main reason why Hazard was interested in Spurs was the comment the Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, made about the 21 year old Lille star. “an exceptional talent” – but without Redknapp’s managerial position being certain for next season, his friend, the Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye, has said to him, “I recommend Arsenal. Spurs is a good club now but it’s not clear who will be coach next season.”
Any key decision for a forward player to make is how many goals they will be able to tally up. With Arsenal scoring 67 goals this season ahead of Tottenham’s 57 goals, it would clearly show to Hazard that he will have a great team of midfielders who will help him net the goals.
Whilst Tottenham have only scored 10 less, many of these goals have been scored or assisted by Adebayor, who is due to return back to Mancheter City at the end of the season. This means that although the gap between the goals scored is only 10, with Tottenham’s most assisted player not playing for them next season, it means that we can expect this number to drop considerably. This might encourage Hazard to steer away from Tottenham and more to the red side of North London.
Tottenham has had a great season and has been one of their best in the most recent years. But, with Arsenal still ahead of their rivals but still being considered as one of their worst in recent years, could this persuade Hazard to join a more successful club?
Well it is no secret that Arsenal have struggled to win some trophies in recent years whilst it can be argued that Tottenham are getting much closer than their rivals. Although Tottenham’s last trophy win was the League Cup in 2008, it is still much more impressive than the number of trophies Arsenal have won since that year.
Furthermore, since the trophy win in 2008, Spurs have managed to get into 2 FA cup semi-finals showing their ambition of silverware, something which Arsenal have started to lose.
