The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern today are drinking to forget their defensive performance against Watford on the opening day.
After a summer that has felt like an eternity, the Premier League is back and the opening weekend provided its fair share of shocks.
One of those surprise results saw Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool put in one of the worst defensive displays of recent memory as they threw away a 3-2 lead in the last minute to draw 3-3 with Watford at Vicarage Road.
Credit where credit is due to Marco Silva’s side but this result was certainly one that could have been avoided by Liverpool in a game where they really should have walked away with all three points.
There are plenty of things that both Klopp and Silva will have noted down after the full-time whistle.
