So, the traditional curtain raiser to the new season has been and gone and thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it was Manchester United that ran out 2-1 winners. The United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are absolutely buzzing!
Jose Mourinho took home his first trophy in-charge and whilst it was billed as a competitive fixture, there was a lot of change from both sides with plenty of players being involved in the game.
Goals from Lingard and the Swede gave United the win, sandwiched between a goal from Jamie Vardy after a horrendous mistake from Marouane Fellaini, everyone’s favourite comedy villain.
But in-between the hate-fuelled chants being directed at the Belgian, there were plenty of other bites of action too and the match went some way as to showing us just how this season will pan out.
So with all of this in mind, here are THREE things we learned from the Community Shield final between Manchester United and Leicester City.
