Chelsea have been going along quite nicely this season as they look to challenge for the Premier League title once again.
Mauro Sarri deserves plenty of credit for getting the Blues playing some quality football, especially without an out and out striker, where Eden Hazard has been playing as the main man in the Italian’s 4-3-3 formation.
The loss of form for Alvaro Morata, who seems to have never settled into life in England overall, has been a big blow for Chelsea, and the Spaniard is looking like he is going to be on his way in the January window, with Chelsea no doubt keen to bring in a replacement.
And one star we at the Tavern think could replace Morata and give the Blues something extra up front is Portugal striker Andre Silva, who has been in fine form for a number of seasons now.
The £35m-rated star, who has 15 goals at international level already, looks ready made to make the jump to one of the big guns in Europe, with Chelsea being in that bracket if he did fancy it.
Silva is a brilliant finisher, and has the composure and quality on the ball to make the number nine slot his own at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard cannot keep playing as the central striker if Chelsea are to have success, and the signing of someone like Silva could well be the perfect fit for both club and player.
