Everton are looking forward to next season after finishing the campaign fairly well under Marco Silva.

In a squad full of talent, it took plenty of time for the Toffees to get going through the season, and it was no surprise to see them grind out some quality results towards the back end of the campaign.

However, throughout the season there has been a nagging doubt about Everton that they are missing a few links and important cogs within the team, especially up front, where they likes of Dom Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have at times failed to produce when it matters.

This weekend though has seen the club linked with a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, who was in fine form for the Cherries last term, notching 15 goals in all competitions.

Indeed, he would bring to Everton one of the things they severely lack in attack with his raw pace and movement something which the Toffees have seemingly lacked over the course of the campaign.

Wilson has improved year on year while playing under Eddie Howe, and it is now little surprise to see the likes of Everton making their case to sign the former Coventry man.

It's not just goals though what Wilson brings to the table, with nine assists this season playing a massive part in the success Bournemouth have had.

Wilson would appear to be the right sort of player for Everton to target, and if the Toffees can indeed snap him up, then they might well just be able to make some sort of run at Champions League football once again.
