Everton’s young team are definitely turning heads in the Transfer Tavern and our landlord is arguing that Ronald Koeman’s side is on to big things, with the turnover of talent coming through the gates of Goodison Park.
And what better test for this young and bright side than to play in Derby day against a Liverpool side, who have also looked good in recent weeks after a dodgy start to the new year.
The banter really is flying around the Merseyside-born punters here in the Transfer Tavern and Everton fans are looking for their side to rally, after the loss of their influential full-back, Seamus Coleman, who suffered a double leg break during the international break.
Whilst there is no doubt Coleman will come back stronger, he and the Toffees in the Tavern will be hoping that their side gain revenge on a Liverpool side that beat them 1-0 at Goodison Park earlier in the season, thanks to a late gasp Sadio Mane goal.
Furthermore, the debate has led too who will replace Coleman, as well as who else will make the XI in this strong Liverpool side. One thing is for sure, our landlord knows who he will pick for the game.
Let’s take a look at the Everton side he would like to see on Merseyside derby day…..
