The Southampton fans in the Transfer Tavern believe that young striker Sam Gallagher is unlikely to get a look in next season despite enjoying a relatively successful season on loan at Blackburn Rovers this term.
Southampton are reportedly willing to sell Sam Gallagher this summer as he currently sits behind Charlie Austin, Shane Long, Manolo Gabbiadini and Jay Rodriguez in the pecking order for the number 9 role.
According to The Daily Mail, four clubs are keen to take Sam Gallagher next season.
All four clubs are likely to be playing their football in the Championship for the 2017/18 campaign and see the young Saints forward as the perfect addition.
Aston Villa, Wolves and Cardiff City are all interested in a swoop for the 21-year-old, who has netted 12 goals this season for struggling Blackburn Rovers.
Sunderland are also interested and Moyes has personally watched the England under 20 international on occasions this season.
The Black Cats are likely to join the other chasing trio in the Championship next season, unless he can mastermind a great escape from the Premier League this term.
The 6’4” striker is a real physical presence up front and has posed problems for Championship defences with his strength and aerial ability.
