Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have kept our landlord happy by spending a lot of money on drinks to celebrate these past few weeks but there won’t be a massive cash-injection into our tills to celebrate this signing.
The Daily Express, reporting via Bild, quotes Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as ruling-out an exit from the Bundesliga giants this month, amid speculation of vast interest from the Gunners.
With 24 goals already this season, Aubameyang is hot-property on the transfer market and Dortmund have slapped a £44m price-tag upon his head to ward off potential suitors- which include Arsenal and Barcelona.
However, it appears that Dortmund don’t have to worry about losing their star-man as he’s not keen on leaving.
“In football nothing lasts forever but my contract runs until 2020, that is a fact. I feel happy, still want to achieve lots with Dortmund and win titles, that is also fact.”
“I am here and nowhere else – not at Arsenal, not at Barcelona, not on the moon – you can see that.”
Arsenal fans in the bar are understandably gutted, as Aubameyang has been in sensational form this season- only failing to find the net in six of his Dortmund appearances.
