Arsenal fans are far from fully satisfied with their 2014-15 season, and are demanding new additions during the January transfer window.
The Gunners have ruined their chances of a Premier League title challenge before December by throwing more points away from winning positions than any other club.
Arsene Wenger’s failure to sign a defensive midfielder and a replacement centre back for Thomas Vermaelen has proved especially costly, and Arsenal fans dread to think where their side would be if they had failed to lure Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates in the summer.
Wenger is perhaps under the most pressure of his 18 year Arsenal career, and will be forced to spend and spend well in January in order to get the supporters back onside.
His signings – Sanchez aside – in recent times have not had the desired effect, with the club record £42.5million spent on Mesut Ozil looking more and more like a huge mistake with each passing week.
At least the World Cup winner is capable of producing on his day however. Some of Wenger’s signings down the years cannot even claim that, as proven here by the five Arsenal signings WORSE – yes, worse – than Mesut Ozil.
