The good news for Arsenal fans is that the transfer window is now shut until January.
Gunners fans were left confused and frustrated for the two months in which teams were given permission to trade players, until deadline day when manager Arsene Wenger pulled a rabbit from the hat in the form of £42.5 million man Mesut Ozil.
That signing certainly went a long way to papering over the cracks that had been evident all summer, and all the nonsense regarding Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez that went beforehand seems to have been forgiven.
For a while it seemed as though the lack of summer transfer business meant that a selection of Arsenal’s hugely talented young players were going to be given more of an opportunity this season.
But the late summer arrivals of Matthieu Flamini and Mesut Ozil have pushed some of these players further down the pecking order, meaning lower league clubs may well come calling at the Emirates Stadium as they look to take advantage of the Football League loan window that has been open since September 10th
As seen so often, this may work as a positive for both sides, with the Gunners no doubt hoping to aid some of their young players in the next stage of their development by giving them regular playing time, and perhaps in the case of others, to clear some of the deadwood out.
Here we have identified 5 potential Arsenal players who could be set for an emergency loan.
