The Football Transfer Tavern is always impressed with the blossoming youth academy at Arsenal. Manager Arsene Wenger has been a major advocate of making the most out of the club’s youth policy and it’s really starting to show in his first team.
An example of how just successful it was witnessed by the side that started in probably their biggest game of the season so far as the Gunners took on European Champions Bayern Munich last week.
Among the starting eleven chosen by Wenger were Thomas Szczesny, Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Yaya Sanogo who can all be regarded as players that the club have completed or partly educated in their academy. Not a bad achievement.
While Wenger is expected to spend big again in the summer as he creates a side capable of challenging again for the Premier League and major honours, he will still be hoping to see an emergence of some of his finest young players who are ready to graduate into fully fledged first-team members.
And we have taken the challenge to find the five starlets who could be next to emerge from the fantastic youth set-up at the Emirates.
Click on Emirates Stadium to reveal the five youngsters who could be making an impact in Arsene Wenger’s first team next season.
