5 best Chelsea goals of 2013/14 so far

Willian v NorwichTheir strikers may be inept, but here in the Football Transfer Tavern, Chelsea fans certainly have a good few contenders for their goals of the season thus far.

Whilst the usually flaky Arsenal are gunning down all in their path – not to mention scoring some pretty decent goals along the way – Blues fans have seen the second coming of Jose Mourinho falter ever so slightly.

Mourinho himself will point to the fact that his young eggs are not yet ready to hatch just yet. The less biased of us will point to the fact that the club simply have a lack of forwards who can put the ball into the back of the net on a consistent basis.

A feature of the Blues’ play has always been their top class midfielders – with the goals usually coming from Frank Lampard, but now with their young stars, the likes of Oscar and Eden Hazard have stepped up to the plate admirably.

In seasons gone by, there would usually only be one winner when it comes to the best goals of the season – Didier Drogba, who always produced at least two crackers in the home and away games against Arsenal!

Now however, we have been forced to look elsewhere for stunners and have come up with five of our favourites so far.
