The conversation regarding the goals of the season so far has continued in the Football Transfer Tavern, following a weekend and Monday night of superb finishes.
And Tottenham fans have plenty to say, reckoning their side has produced some top quality in front of goal.
Andre Villas-Boas’ side have quietly gone about their business so far this season, and currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League, just three points below league leaders Arsenal.
The shock home defeat to West Ham United just over two weeks aside, Tottenham have been on a decent run since their North London derby defeat on September 1st.
Wins against the likes of Crystal Palace, Swansea City, Norwich City, Cardiff City and Aston Villa have been convincing if unspectacular, and there are signs that the £100 million invested in the summer by AVB is starting to be repaid.
Paulinho in particular has shone, whilst Roberto Soldado will be relieved to have buried his first Premier League goal in open play at the weekend.
Meanwhile a couple of previously forgotten men in Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andros Townsend have started the season on fire, which has proved a huge bonus for the Lilywhites.
So as we order another pint, we countdown the best five goals of Tottenham’s 2013/2014 season so far.
