Yesterday saw Luis Suarez turn up at the Emirates Stadium for the second time since the summer transfer saga that seemed to go on and on.
June, July and August saw the back pages dominated by stories claiming Suarez was on his way out of Anfield, with Arsenal seeming the most likely destination.
Few Liverpool fans would have predicted that six months later, Suarez would be heading to the Emirates with Liverpool on the back of a 5-1 win over Arsenal to keep themselves in title contention, with the Uruguayan having only recently signed a new long-term contract at Anfield.
It’s been a major turnaround for Luis Suarez and Liverpool this season, and yet reports still persist suggesting the 26-year-old could still push for a move away this summer.
Of course, it all seems dependent on whether the Reds manage to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers side have hardly been out of the top four all season, and are still in contention for the title in many people’s eyes.
