David Moyes is yet to take his first training session at Old Trafford, and the Scot already has plenty to occupy his mind.
First and foremost comes the pressure of taking over from the longest serving and most successful British manager of all-time in the form of Sir Alex Ferguson, and the immediate thought of strengthening a side that won the Premier League with relative ease last time around.
The central midfield area will no doubt be the main occupation of Moyes’ thoughts. Paul Scholes has retired for a second time, and is unlikely to make a comeback in the manner he did before. There is still the uncertainty surrounding the future of Darren Fletcher, with the midfielder sadly plagued by illness, whilst Tom Cleverley and Anderson still have plenty to do in order to prove they are worthy of being regular starters for the title winners.
Moyes will be on the hunt for a new central midfielder no doubt, and with speculation linking every top midfielder in Europe with a move to Old Trafford, here we have counted down the top five we think the Manchester United manager should ponder this summer.
