With the countdown to England’s opening World Cup match well underway in the Football Transfer Tavern, Chelsea fans grab another pint and start discussing a busy week of transfer activity at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have completed the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, whilst a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is all but done and dusted.
Meanwhile, David Luiz has completed a big money move to Paris Saint-Germain, whilst Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole have brought the curtain down on their glistening Chelsea careers.
And they don’t look set to be the only players on their way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, if widespread reports are to be believed.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly set his sights on Brazilian midfielder Ramires, who he brought to Chelsea from Benfica in 2010.
Ramires has gone on to establish himself as a key player under Mourinho at Chelsea, but some reports suggest the Blues could be tempted to cash in, or go ahead with a swap deal that would involved Real midfielder and long-term target Luka Modric.
Should Ramires leave, he is unlikely to be the last with reports suggesting big changes at Stamford Bridge this summer.
