5 Chelsea utility men to follow Oriol Romeu out on loan

romeu.jpgWhen Jose Mourinho came back to the Premier League, we knew a couple of things for sure – Chelsea were back in contention for the title- if they ever really went out of it, and the embarrassment of winning the Europa League would not be an issue anymore.

Press conferences would be epic and interesting once more as the Special One or should we now say the Happy One, reignited his love with the British media and finally Chelsea would be doing some serious spending this summer with Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel already added to the squad and a bid for Wayne Rooney on the table.

Already blessed with a pretty impressive squad, the Blues were on the prowl for players to add to that and make then an unstoppable force in Europe once again.

Of course along with this it meant that some of the current Chelsea squad would find themselves out on the fringes of the team and may well struggle with getting game time.

There are as we all know some pretty simple solutions for this; the player can either be sold or go out on loan and whilst the likes of John Obi Mikel have been linked with moves away from the club on a permanent basis, there are also those who are young enough to stay and play in the reserves or go out on loan and spend a season getting regular football before having a crack at making it into the first team – following in the example of Oriol Romeu who recently temporarily joined Valencia.

With that in mind, here are the top five players we think Chelsea should send out on loan this season.
