Liverpool have found themselves at the centre of another unwanted media storm this summer, thanks to a certain Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan looks set to leave the Reds for Barcelona, having just been banned for four months following a third bite on a fellow professional of his career.
With all the hype surrounding Suarez, it is easy to forget the Reds have in fact brought in three new signings of their own.
Emre Can completed his switch from Bayer Leverkusen on Friday, whilst the Reds also confirmed the £25 million signing of Adam Lallana from Southampton last week.
And prior to the World Cup, the Reds made the somewhat surprising addition of Rickie Lambert – also from Southampton.
With Suarez seemingly off, the 32-year-old looks set to be given more opportunities than expected to produce the goods for his boyhood club.
Whilst Brendan Rodgers is certain to add another couple of forwards should Suarez depart, Lambert could prove a very shrewd piece of business.
The 32-year-old is only behind new teammate Daniel Sturridge in the list of top English goal scorers over the past two seasons, and is sure to give an extra 10 per cent considering he has completed a dream move to his boyhood team.
We have identified five former Liverpool stars Lambert would do well to avoid when it comes to studying for inspiration however.
