It’s been a fantastic weekend for Arsenal fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern.
Chelsea’s defeat at Newcastle United on Saturday meant the Gunners had the opportunity to open a five point gap at the top of the table with a win over nearest rivals Liverpool – and Wenger’s men certainly responded to the challenge in the evening fixture.
Arsenal turned in arguably what was their finest performance of the season so far, coming away with a fully deserved 2-0 win over Brendan Rodgers side.

Wenger reportedly has money to spend as he looks to end Arsenal’s trophy drought, and the club have been linked with a host of signings as you would expect.
