Tottenham finally managed a Premier League victory in front of their own supporters with an impressive 2-1 win over Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Despite falling behind to a stunning strike from Kevin Mirallas, Tottenham rallied and picked up the points courtesy of goals from Christian Eriksen and the much maligned Roberto Soldado before half-time.
Soldado’s goal provided a further indication that things are improving at Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino as was the performance of Harry Kane who has been a revelation since forcing his way into the first team.
But with Emmanuel Adebayor going through a dry patch in front of goal and having angered Tottenham supporters with his comments about the atmosphere at home matches, Pochettino knows he will need to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.
If Soldado can continue to improve and Kane can continue his fine form, Tottenham could well challenge for the top four with the right additions this winter.
Here we have identified five players who would help share the scoring burden if signed.
