Liverpool are set to be busy in the transfer market once more when the window reopens in January.
Brendan Rodgers is facing perhaps his most important transfer window as Liverpool manager yet, with the signings he makes this time around expected to help Liverpool reach their target of Champions League qualification.
The Reds boss has been slowly rebuilding since taking charge in the summer of 2012, and looks now to have built a squad capable of challenging the top four – certainly based on the first 11 games of the season.
Liverpool have won seven of their first 11 league games, drawing twice and losing twice, and currently sit second in the Premier League table, just two points off league leaders Arsenal.
With the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all making stuttering stars, Rodgers is perhaps aware he won’t get a better opportunity to gate crash the top four than this season.
And a lot will depend on the January additions Rodgers can bring in. The Reds boss has said he is looking for players designed to go straight into the first team and make an immediate impact, in the same manner Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho did last January.
And the Reds boss first port of call is likely to be La Liga, based on the various transfer rumours doing the rounds at the moment.
Here we have identified 5 La Liga stars that could be on Liverpool’s radar.
