Tottenham fans must be growing sick and tired of transfer windows. The last couple proved frustrating after the club failed to sign a striker they so desperately craved.
This time around, despite breaking their transfer record twice and looking to have completed some excellent signings, it is still all doom and gloom at White Hart Lane, following Real Madrid’s very public pursuit of Gareth Bale.
The story has dominated everything Tottenham have done up until this point, from any more potential incomings in the transfer market, to their pre-season friendlies.
With the start of the new Premier League season less than two weeks away, it is imperative the club tie up the Bale situation as quickly as possible, so manager Andre Villas-Boas knows what he has to work with going into the new season.
Whether Bale stays or goes, either way it is set to have a dramatic effect on Tottenham’s season.
Should he stay, Villas-Boas has the luxury of having the leagues best player in his squad for the coming season, or if the likely outcome that he goes occurs, the Tottenham boss will have the best part of £100 million to play with in the transfer market.
With those factors in mind, here we have identified 5 late summer deals for Tottenham to tie up.
