Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are discussing the departure of Luis Suarez over a few pints – hoping they may numb the pain.
Suarez was sensational for the Reds over three and a half crazy years in England.
Whilst his time at Anfield was littered with controversial moments, he will be remembered for his moments on the pitch – last season especially.
Suarez fired 31 Premier League goals in 33 games, to take the Reds agonisingly close to a first Premier League title – and a return to the Champions League after a five year absence.
Add to the 31 goals, 12 assists, and Liverpool have a huge hole in their side ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.
The one bright side to his departure is that the Reds are set see £75million arrive in their bank account shortly, which manager Brendan Rodgers will have at his disposal to strengthen his squad.
Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can have already arrived at Anfield this summer, whilst Benfica winger Lazar Markovic and Belgium World Cup star Divock Origi are set to follow shortly.
Here we have taken a look at five other transfer targets to prove there is life for Liverpool after Luis Suarez.
