Brendan Rodgers has certainly been a busy man in the close season, securing the signature of four players to help the Liverpool cause already.
Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, defender Kolo Toure, and Spanish attackers Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas have all been convinced to join the Rodgers revolution, with the Liverpool boss looking to launch a serious assualt on the top four in his second season in charge.
The Reds 2012/13 campaign was plagued by inconsistency last time out, with Rodgers side looking superb one week and simply awful the next.
The turn of the year saw the introduction of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, both of whom played their part in a steady improvement which culminated in a 7th placed finish, and a record number of Premier League goals scored.
That was in no small part thanks to controversial forward Luis Suarez, and with the Uruguayan’s Anfield future still up in the air, it will be very interesting to see how the team pushes on, if at all next season.
