Today in the Football Transfer Tavern we are just finishing talking about Friday’s international action and how certain sides have fared.
Whilst no one would claim that it has been the most scintillating week of the season, one punter points out that we can soon look forward to the Premier League returning.
Our landlord notes that certain sides will want to get back to domestic action as quickly as they can and improve on their early season results.
The main side we are talking about is of course Manchester United. The Old Trafford club have not only dropped far too many points and failed to bring in new players, but they have seen certain former players flourish elsewhere.
Paul Pogba is one of the most wanted players in Europe right now and Ravel Morrison was the standout player of last weekend for West Ham United in their shock 3-0 win at Tottenham.
Some United fans point out that had David Moyes been able to use these players, things could have been a little bit different. Sadly that was not to be and his side have laboured to say the least.
With that in mind, we have taken a look at five players that ‘got away’ from the Red Devils in recent years.
