David Moyes has enjoyed a real turn around of late, which culminated in a morale boosting 1-0 win over league leaders Arsenal at Old Trafford prior to the international break.
It was a result that was significant on so many levels. Not only did it put Manchester United right back in the title race, but it got an increasingly large monkey off Moyes’s back, as he managed to beat a genuine rival for the first time in three attempts.
Liverpool and Manchester City both got the better of United in earlier meetings, whilst Chelsea played out a dire 0-0 draw at Old Trafford back in August.
The early season defeats are all but forgotten, and Moyes can look forward to the return of Premier League action this weekend, knowing a win over Cardiff City on Sunday could send them as high as third should other results go their way.
Moyes will also no doubt be looking ahead to the January transfer window, knowing his mistakes in the summer will have no doubt played a part in their tricky start.
The club have been linked with a host of players since the summer window slammed shut in September, and no doubt the champions will hope to be busy.
Here we have identified the five most attainable players for United to target this January.
