5 ‘most believable’ Arsenal transfer rumours

Mario MandzukicArsenal fans are feeling pretty down inside the Football Transfer Tavern after a difficult couple of weeks.

The January transfer window promised so much, and ultimately delivered a crocked 31-year-old Swede on loan for the remainder of the season.

Then came last weekend’s horror show at Anfield, which was not only a result that left Wenger’s men humiliated, but also gave Chelsea the opportunity to take their place at the top of the table.

And last night saw Wenger’s men fail the opportunity to regain top spot, drawing 0-0 with a struggling Manchester United side at the Emirates Stadium – and in truth it could have been much worse, had Robin van Persie not had an unusually poor night in front of goal.

The Gunners now face a cruel run of fixtures, with Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Everton all to come through to early April.

Arsenal fans are still questioning why Wenger failed to spend any money in January, and in truth, so are all of us in the Transfer Tavern.

His failure to spend in January has only raised expectations for the summer, and there have been no shortage of transfer rumours.

Here we have identified the five Arsenal transfer rumours we find most believable.
