5 ‘most realistic’ loan destinations for Manchester United’s Wilfried Zaha

Option 3 - Carrick, Fellaini, Zaha, ValenciaManchester United suffered a third consecutive defeat for the first time since 2001 last night, losing the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi final with Sunderland 2-1.

David Moyes cut a frustrated figure on the touchline once again and to make matters worse, news has emerged today that he is facing an FA enquiry for his comments about referees in the aftermath of the defeat.

And sat on the bench once again as an unused substitute was Manchester United’s £15 million man Wilfried Zaha.

Plenty remain surprised that the former Crystal Palace has not been given a chance to shine at Old Trafford this season, considering the lack of form the team has shown.

Nani, Ashley Young, and Antonio Valencia have all struggled at various points in the wide positions, whilst a lot of pressure has been placed on the 18-year-old shoulders of Adnan Januzaj.

Zaha displayed good form for Palace last season and this saw him talked about as one of the most exciting young players in the country, yet Moyes has allowed him just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.

Reports have suggested a host of Premier League clubs are queuing up to take the once capped England international on loan this January, so here we have assessed his five most realistic destinations.

If Moyes isn’t going to use him, it seems there are plenty that will!
